Information for guest examiners
The intensive study programme “Make-up – Theatre and Film” is a specialised branch of study with the aim of training future make-up artists who display particular creative potential. The skills which students on this study programme acquire divide into theoretical and practical qualifications, as well as artistic abilities in the allied area of character development. After a few years’ work experience in a make-up department, students will be equipped to take up their first position of responsibility or to establish themselves as independent creative make-up artists.
At the heart of the Master Study Programme is the encouragement of specialists, concentrating on particular techniques in their professional field and the development of a creative artistic personality. Its aim is to enable students to acquire a broadly-based artistic independence. Only through this will they be able to work in new fields alongside drama, opera and film – in the area of free art, in cross-over between performance, theatre and exhibitions, but also in working with agencies and on commercial projects.
